At small scales, wetting and surface tension play an increasingly important role. Understanding how their influence affects fluid behavior quickly becomes a critical component of the design process. With this understanding we are able to assist and develop novel devices for microfluidic, lab-on-a-chip, organ-on-a-chip, thermal management, and atomization applications. Components of our design approach include:
Microfluidic Chip Design
Superhydrophobic Surface Treatments
Microchannel Bubble Management
Wicking and Wetting Analysis
Atomization for Combustion
Biological Fluids
